Each and everyone of us have the whole world at our fingertips. An unlimited variety of possibilities spread out before us. Rich or Poor, Young or Old, Man or Woman…no matter your situation in life choices abound and you are free to make any of them.
However, with endless choices comes endless outcomes. Depending on the path you choice you will either experience success or failure. Guys, the problem with unlimited possibilities is that good and bad are relative.
Right or Wrong
In many cases the initial choice you make is not inherently right or wrong. It is only when a specific outcome is realized that we look back and label the initial decision as good or bad.
But I tend to think of things a little differently. A specific outcome doesn’t directly reflect on the initial decision. It is the actions and effort you put forth between making the choice and realizing the outcome that most directly influences your chances at success.
In this line of thinking, your initial choice has very little to do with success of failure. Instead, the most important factor is the amount of personal effort put into realizing the desired outcome.
Don’t Opt Out of Success
The problem being is that most people don’t think this way. Instead the No-Getters believe the outcome is predetermined by the weight of the choice. For every action, for every choice, even for all their dreams, the No-Getters already “know” what the outcome will be.
If the No-Getter “thinks” something is hard, or it will take time, or they might have to sacrifice, or if their immediate circle of friends aren’t or haven’t done it, they “know” it is impossible. This is in direct opposition to the Go-Getter who believes anything is possibly with hard work and effort.
Folks, the No-Getters are distracted. Distracted from reality. No-Getters have a pre-determined mental wall built between themselves and success. Of course success isn’t easy, of course it takes hard work and sacrifice, of course failure is a possibility, but these folks take it for granted that they will fail and never begin.
Smoking cigarettes and drinking beer is easy. Watching American Idol and trolling Facebook is easy. Sitting on the couch eating Cheetos and Twinkies is easy. Buying the iPhone instead of paying the bills is easy. These are the choices No-Getters will make because they are assured of success.
No-Getters are only seeking immediate pleasure. They need immediate gratification because it is these pleasures that distract them from the fact they are losers. Instead of making positive changes in life, losers immerse themselves in simple pleasures to escape their reality.
What a freaking waste of a person.
Eyes Wide Open
People, don’t distract yourself from reality. Doing big things in life is absolutely hard. It will absolutely take work and will absolutely take sacrifice. But it is possible. In fact, accomplishing big things is probable if believe it possible.
If you don’t Rule Your Reality, who will?
