Being the Smartest Man in the Room is more an attitude than an IQ comparison. Who cares who has the highest IQ. How many of the smartest guys in the world are actually successful business people?
We aren’t talking about chess masters or wizard mathematicians. We are talking about those who can take the intelligence they do have and convert it into actions that create cashola! How smart you are isn’t the question…It is can you take how smart you are and convert it into something tangible.
Action is Key
Answering trivia only wins on Jeopardy. In real life you have to not only have intelligence but also the ability to act upon it. And action is key.
Intelligence for its own sake is wasted. Money is created first in the form of an idea and realized in the form of action. Intelligence is therefore relative to the means in which you can act upon it.
Albert Einstein had a theory of relativity in the field of physics. Well RYR has a theory of special relativity as well. Rule Your Reality’s theory says that success equals intelligence times action, S=I*A.
Intelligence is Relative
What this means is that Success can only be the product of your intelligence multiplied by the amount of action you are willing to devote to it. This is a very important point. This means that your success is not determined solely by your intelligence or by the amount of work, or action, you willing to devote. Instead it is a combination of both.
Actionable Intelligence is what we are striving for.
What one lacks in intelligence can be made up by specific actions. And what one may lack in work ethic and initiative can be made up by intelligence. And even better is that someone who is willing to work and is half-way intelligent has the ability to create as much success as they can imagine.
Napoleon Hill once said, “Action is the real measure of intelligence.”
Multiply Your Action
Even more significant is that specific action is weighted much heavier than intelligence. In our equation, A (action) is the multiplier whereas I (intelligence) is the multiplicand, or the number that is being increased.
Since action is the multiplier, all the sleepless nights, all the missed beer parties, all the sacrifices you make in furtherance of your goals…all these specific actions are exponentially increasing, not only your chances at success, but the total amount of it.
So, as far as success is concerned, intelligence is relative. IQ and smarts alone will get you a place on the chess team and a job in the IT department. Whereas, the ability perform actions that build off your intelligence in furtherance of a goal is the golden ticket.
That my friends is the money tree. There is no shortage of either money or success. You’ve just got to be willing to work as hard as it takes to make it happen.
