How does the majority of people in the United States earn a living?
They have a job…almost 90% of Americans based on the last data I’ve seen. And why wouldn’t we get a job. Are we taught in school anything differently?
Is there such a thing as a K through 12 primary school that inspires creating a job as opposed to filing one? I’ve recently begun seeing entrepreneurial degrees in college, but they are on the fringe. Instead becoming a creator, we are taught from a young age that the proper thing to do is to get a job.
And what is a job anyway?
Before we talk about what a job really is, lets talk about leverage and duplication. I like real estate. I’m an investor and an agent so I’ll describe leverage under those terms. By putting a $20,000 down payment on a $100,000 property, I’ve leveraged my available capital and now have control of an asset worth $100,000. Through leverage I’ve basically created $80,000.
For duplication lets explain in terms of a multilevel marketing opportunity. Instead of making 5 sales per month myself, I will recruit 5 other business associates into my organizational and train them each to make 5 sales per month. So instead of receiving commissions for only my personal efforts, I’m also getting paid on the efforts of 5 additional individuals. I’ve just duplicated myself and multiplied my potential earnings.
Now back to the original question, what is a job?
A job is both the leverage and duplication that a business creator/producer needs to multiply their productivity and income.
Your sole purposes is make more money for someone else, not yourself. Believe me, your success does not factor into this equation. It may happen but is not important. An employee simply provides a cheap way in which the business owner can create more wealth and money through less of his own action.
Just Over Broke.
And that is why a job is not and will never be the way to get ahead in life. Your job will never make you rich. Have you ever heard someone say that J.O.B. stood for Just Over Broke?
That is because the boss will pay you just enough to make sure you come back tomorrow. No matter how hard you work or how long a tenure you have you will never receive compensation anywhere near the benefit you are providing the business owner.
And remember, you now have a mortgage, car payments and credit card bills to pay. And while you may not be getting ahead, your job is paying you enough to stay current with the bill collectors. Now you are stuck in the American Trap…You aren’t making enough to get ahead and you are making to much to quit. Hence that acronym, Just Over Broke.
Break out of the American Trap, stop building someone else’s dream and start reaping the rewards of leverage and duplication yourself.
